Oxygenation & Saturation Index
OI & OSI · hypoxemic respiratory failure
Calculates the oxygenation index (OI) from PaO₂ or the oxygen saturation index (OSI) from SpO₂, with FiO₂ and mean airway pressure, to grade hypoxemic respiratory failure and inform inhaled nitric oxide and ECMO decisions. OSI is a non-invasive surrogate (OI ≈ 2 × OSI).
