Privacy Policy

You can read everything on this site without an account. We collect data in four situations:

• When you sign in. Authentication is handled by Auth0. We receive an account identifier and the basic profile your provider shares (such as your name and email address when you sign in with Google). We use it to keep you signed in and to attribute the things you save.
• When you set up your account. We store the reader role you choose (researcher, clinician, parent, or other) and a display name, so articles open at the tier written for you.
• When you interact with an article. Comments, saved collections, and emoji reactions are stored with your account. Reactions from signed-out readers use a random identifier kept in your browser, only so the same reaction is not counted twice.
• When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email address is sent to MailerLite, which manages the mailing list and the confirmation email. Subscription is double opt-in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

We also record anonymous page-view counts so we can show which articles are most read. These counts are not linked to your identity.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond what the site needs to function. Specifically:

• Sign-in cookie. Set by Auth0 to keep your session active. Strictly necessary — without it you cannot stay logged in.
• Preferences kept in your browser (not cookies, and never sent to us): your colour theme, your preferred article tier, and the anonymous reaction identifier described above. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
• The Postnatal Growth tool keeps patient entries in your browser only. That data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. If you link it to a local spreadsheet, the file stays on your computer.
• Audience measurement. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it derives a short-lived hash from the incoming request, discards it within 24 hours, and cannot follow you to other sites.

• Auth0 (Okta) — sign-in and identity
• Supabase — profiles, comments, collections, reactions, page-view counts
• MailerLite — newsletter list and delivery
• Vercel — hosting and cookieless analytics
• Sanity — the article content management system (no reader data)

These providers process data only to run the service. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.

Account data, comments, and saved collections are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove them. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Anonymous page-view counts are aggregate and retained indefinitely.

You can read the site without signing in, change or delete your comments and saved articles, unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and clear the preferences your browser has stored. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion — write to contact@pxttechstudio.com and we will respond.

This site is written for clinicians, researchers, and the families of newborn patients. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Articles concern the care of infants, but no patient data is collected by this site.
